Battalion Runner: 4/2 – The Todd Pletcher trainee, who was scratched from Gulfstream Park’s Grade 1 Florida Derby a day earlier in favor of a stakes debut in Aqueduct’s Grade 2 Wood Memorial a week later, breezed four furlongs in :49.30 (5/14) on fast dirt at Palm Beach Downs.

Irish Freedom: 4/2 – The son of Pioneerof the Nile earned a spot in Saturday’s Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby by working six furlongs handily in 1:12.20 (1/10) over that fast main track.

J Boys Echo: 4/1 – The Grade 3 Gotham Stakes winner tuned up for a return in Keeneland’s Grade 2 Blue Grass Stakes seven days later with a five-furlong breeze on a fast Gulfstream Park course in 1:00.69 (7/20).

Petrov: 3/31 – Conditioner Ron Moquett’s graded stakes placed charge breezed four furlongs in :50.40 (31/39) over a fast surface at Oaklawn Park in advance of an expected run in the Grade 1 Arkansas Derby there in mid-April.

So Conflated: 3/31 – The California Derby champ Cal Cup Derby winner, who will try to punch his ticket to Louisville in the Santa Anita Derby, worked six furlongs handily on that fast oval in 1:15.20 (17/32) with Saul Arias in the saddle.

True Timber: 4/3 – Calumet Farm’s multiple graded stakes placed colt breezed four furlongs over Belmont Park’s fast dirt training track in :48.87 (26/159) to prepare for a planned start in the Wood Memorial.
